Inspection And Servicing
We organize inspection of fire safety equipment at regular intervals in order to ensure and ascertain the reliability and efficiency of the equipment
INSPECTION:-
We carry out this inspection by making sure the equipment is at its designated place.
It has not being tempered with since any such accidental or deliberate operation will render the equipment futile in the case of an emergency.
All equipment found out to be tempered with are repaired to make it function properly.
Servicing of fire equipment include the following;
- Regular servicing of all equipment especially checking of fire extinguishers at intervals or more frequent intervals when circumstances require or as specified by manufacturer.
- Repair or replacing of spoilt/ damaged parts
- Recharging of the units that needs refilling
- Hydrostatic testing to ensure cylinders are strong enough to hold its content
- Testing of various mediums to give maximum assurance that it will operate efficiently in an emergency
Reporting of work carried out on each fire equipment and providing of service tags on that equipment (the service tag will indicate the date serviced or equipment was charged and the next service date, test that was carried out, the technician’s signature) Official reports are also written to the safety officer after each inspection or servicing is carried
